📔 The Real Girl Diaries: Episode-33

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”

Change is in the air—and in my hair.

I decided to trade my bleached balayage for a shade called Midnight Blue. It’s exactly like the name: deep, velvety, and a little bit mysterious. It’s definitely a shift from the blonde tones, and looking in the mirror feels a bit like meeting a new character in a book, but I’m really leaning into it. It feels like a fresh canvas.

Lately, I’ve been finding my way back to myself through three simple things: Writing, writing, and more writing. There’s something so therapeutic about an English teacher actually using her blue pen for her own heart for a change. It’s how I process the world and keep my thoughts organized when they start to get a little too loud.

To lift my spirits, I’ve been tuning into religious talks quite a bit. Honestly, it’s been the best way to cope. When you lose someone you love, there’s such a deep sense of relief in remembering that you’re not in charge of everything. Believing that there’s Someone above looking out for me makes those “alone” times feel more like “quiet” times. It gives me a sense of peace that I’m being guided toward something beautiful.

“The stars are the land-marks of the universe.”

— Sir John Herschel

I’m a good person with big dreams, and I truly believe that even if the sky looks like “Midnight Blue” right now, it’s only because the stars are about to show up. I’m excited for the better days God has in store for me.

Current Status: I’m feeling so refreshed with my new hair, a journal that’s all filled out, and a heart that’s looking up. If God can manage the stars aligning, He can definitely help me with my 2 AM overthinking and find my answers. 🌙💙✨

Besides, if this whole “good person” thing doesn’t fast-track my better days, I’m hoping the universe at least rewards me for the fact that I’ve spent three hours scrubbing blue dye off the bathroom tiles. It turns out “Midnight Blue” is less of a hair color and more of a commitment to living in a bathroom that now looks like an underwater scene from The Little Mermaid. 🌙💙🧜‍♀️

bye..
