Purple Fades, But the Soul Remains
Is it just me, or has the world become a little too… normal lately?
I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want more of in my daily life. If I had it my way, every day would be a cycle of discovery. I want more shopping—not just for the thrill of a new silhouette or a fresh fabric, but for the cycle of it. There’s a beautiful energy in “out with the old, in with the new,” especially when the “old” is going directly to someone in need. I recently cleared out some of my wardrobe for donation, and honestly? It felt better than the initial purchase. There’s a quiet power in giving.
The Soundtrack & The Stories
When I’m not styling or giving, I’m wandering through soundscapes. I’ll listen to almost anything—I’m a genre-nomad—as long as the lyrics respect the craft. I don’t have time for rudeness, even in a melody. I just want to find those hidden tracks that feel like they were written for my specific frequency.
I’m also fighting the daily battle for concentration. I love books—I want to live inside them—but finding the stillness to read “lots and lots” of them is a challenge I’m determined to win.
Putting It Into Words
And then, there’s the writing. I’ve been pouring my thoughts into my current project, Purple Fades and Remains (you can find it on Webnovel and Inkitt!). My dream? For it to become a bridge. I want people to read it, critique it, and talk to me about it.
I miss those deep, sprawling conversations where ideas just flow. Nowadays, it feels like everyone’s tastes are so polished and “standard” that I struggle to find my fellow weirdos. But maybe that’s why I write. If I can’t find the conversation out there in the “normal” world, I’ll start it here, on the page.
