“Learning to react instead of trying to control…”
Making plans, preparing yourself for the next day, or even the next hour… it’s so unnecessary sometimes. Life just happens, and it never asks for your permission on how it’s going to unfold. It just arrives, and you’re left having to react.
If you had told me this a year or two ago, I would have said hell no. I used to believe I could be prepared for everything. But now? I know better. Life will make you experience things you could have never, ever imagined.
Take this summer, for instance. Normally, I’d be thinking, “Yeah, summer! I’m out living my life, loving every second.” And I still love summer, but this one was completely different. I had to stay home mostly because my mom went through a very risky, very difficult operation. I had to take care of her and even administer her daily injections. It was a terrifying and emotionally exhausting time for my entire family.
Now she’s okay, thank God, but it completely shifted my perspective.
I don’t know what tomorrow holds anymore, and for the first time, I’m not trying to guess. I’m in this strange, surreal place where the future feels totally unpredictable. I’m still navigating these feelings, but I’m doing okay. I’m learning to accept that the world isn’t a place where I get to control every single outcome on my own,,,it’s a place that teaches you how to adapt to whatever comes your way.
Just live. That is literally all I’m thinking and doing right now. I have no idea what’s coming next, and honestly? That’s fine.
I’m The Real Girl, Sevde. And honestly? She is just kinda tired right now. Tired of predicting, tired of preparing, and ready to just let life be. Signing off for now, leaving the future to figure itself out.
Current Mood: Surrendered to the present, quiet, and holding space.
Currently Thinking: Control is an illusion; adaptation is strength.
Currently Listening: Eenie Meenie by Justin Bieber, Sean Kingston (i love jb yeah) and Born to be Somebody by JB (purple heartssss)
